The perfect Chocolate Cake

This is an amazing, moist and very chocolatey chocolate cake recipe with super tasty chocolate buttercream frosting. It is easy as you can make it in only one bowl!

If you are a chocolate lover, you will love the combination of tasty chocolate cake and chocolate buttercream frosting.

Ingredients you will need for the chocolate cake:

How to make chocolate cake:

  1. Prehaet your oven to 170°C (338 °F).
  2. In a large bowl, mix all wet ingredients; eggs, oil, yogurt, hot coffee and vanilla extract.
  3. Add sugars in to the bowl and mix well.
  4. In a seperate bowl or with a help of sifter, sift all dry ingredients and stir until all well corporated.
  5. Place a baking sheet at the bottom of 9-inch (25 cm) baking tin and pour the mixture into it.
  6. Bake the cake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick comes clean.
  7. Let it cool and cut it into half once it’s cooled.
  8. Frost each layer with chocolate buttercream and enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups and 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cups dark cacao powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 cup thick yogurt
  • 1/2 cup hot espresso or any type of strong coffee
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Chocolate Buttercream
